Shannon is Raquel's twin brother and Pacifica's older brother. Being the only male left in the Cassul family, he finds it his duty to protect Pacifica just like his father had. Despite being physically and mentally strong (as well as stubborn), Shannon is unsure of himself and is confused by the world and matters of the Scrapped Princess, thus making himself very vulnerable to frustration. His weakness for those he feels the need to protect often create problems when others interfere. All in all, Shannon is just a big brother worried for his li'l sis.
Note: Shannon is the typical cynical character who often fights with his little sister and throws in a sarcastic remark whenever he can. He usually puts on a 'heck care' attitude (along with the droopy eyes), but when his temper flares, there's no stopping him. Although he could not lift the burden off Pacifica, he takes it upon himself to be the head of the family and becomes responsible for them. Due to this, Shannon can't help but be a little over-protective and often acts like an old geezer. Reliable and loving, Shannon is the perfect subject for Pacifica's teasing. He probably does more washing and cooking than the girls! Other than being a great son-in-law candidate, Shannon has what it takes to be the guardian of the Scrapped Princess. Not only is he an incredible swordsman, he's got high magical potential in him as well. The only problem is that he can't control his magic, thus he can unleash his powers only when Raquel boosts his mind control. Shannon has his own principle of not killing any of their pursuers, else he would be fulfilling prophecy of the Scrapped Princess being a trigger to tragedy. |
