Leo, a knight in training, is the eldest son of Duke Scorpos and heir to his territory. A naive character with a strong sense of justice, he has high aspirations of becoming a great and noble knight, whose duties include rescuing damsels in distress, getting rid of evil and bringing righteousness to the world at large. Unfortunately, Leo has a long way to go in order to obtain his goals. He travels off to seek out the guidance of the legendary former knight Doyle Barrett with the hopes of learning the meaning of chivalry and it is during his journey he encounters Pacifica. Attempting to rescue her from her pursuers and failing, Leo falls in love the moment he saw Pacifica. Confused with the meaning of chivalry and what a good knight should be, Leo becomes even more frustrated when he learns that the love of his life is the Scrapped Princess.
Note: Leo is an extremely lovable character with his goofy personality. He's kind and noble, and sweet too, if not a bit silly. He's even kind enough to help Pacifica wear a dopey dragon (Soopy) costume for her part-time job! And grows to like it too! Since young he had always wanted to be great knight, thus you can imagine his ideals being shattered when he gets stuck in complicated situations where justice may not be right. Due to his inexperience in the outside world and lack of skills, Leo doesn't quite fit the image of the knight in shining armor to Pacifica. However, he can be brave even when he's scared and is very serious about his ideals. In my opinion, Leo showed the most growth throughout the series. (Btw, I don't understand why they'd want to match a Leo with a Scorpio as a name, any hidden meaning?) |
